Product: This day we learned how to simplify monomials.
Aim: How do we simplify monomials?

Sample: In class, we had to learn how to solve problems like this: 2m + 3m. The answer to this question would be 5m^2(to the second power) because the in the problem there are two “m’s” (monomials) and each one has 1 as an exponent. So, positive 2 + positive 3 equals positive 5, and “m^1” (to the first power) + “m^1” (to the first power) equals “m^2” (to the second power). Another example would be:
Positive 4- positive 10 (+4 - +10). The answer would be negative 6 because 2 positive signs equals a negative, and different signs equals positive (+4 - +10 = -6).

Analysis: This was an interesting thing to learn and makes it easier to add/subtract negative/positive numbers.
